About Theology on Tap

Theology on Tap is our summer speaker series held at McNellie's in the Sidebar. We start at 7pm with time for people to eat, drink, and be merry with new and old fiends. At 8pm, our invited speaker shares their insight on a topic that is relevant to Catholic Young Adults. And at the end of the presentation, there is a question and answer session on the topic.

Theology on Tap in the Diocese of Tulsa was founded in 2004, based on the Theology on Tap that formed out of the Diocese of Chicago. Renew International is now the official promoter of the Theology on Tap movement. Theology on Tap in the Diocese of Tulsa continues to be organized and run by the Tulsa Catholic Young Adults.

Sr. Maria Lin and Sr. Karol Marie-Venerable

Sr. Maria Lin and Sr. Karol Marie-Venerable willl be speaking about the Venerable Catherine McAuley, Foundress of Religious Sister of Mercy. Sr. Karol Marie will also share her vocation story.

May 8th
Deacon Kevin Sartorius - "HHS Mandate"

Speaker Bio:

Dcn. Kevin and his wife have six children from ages 12 to 8 months old. They live and home school on 20 acres surrounded by other Catholic families who share the same goal for a simpler way of life and eternal happiness.

Deacon Kevin has a degree in Political Science from Oklahoma State University with a Certificate in International Relations, a Certificate in Catholic Social Teaching from Catholic University of America and completed a comprehensive six year academic formation program leading up to his ordination to the permanent diaconate last June.

Deacon Kevin primarily serves the Diocese as the Executive Director of Catholic Charities and his secondary assignment is at Holy Family Cathedral. As an employer at a Catholic religious institution Dcn. Kevin will share his first-hand experience with the HHS Mandate and will share how it affects the Church and her people.
